The trailer for the third "Avatar" is already out, but there is one "BUT"

The screening of "Fantastic 4: First Steps" alone seems like enough incentive for science fiction fans to head to the cinema. However, it turns out that along with Marvel's new film, viewers will also have the opportunity to see the first trailer for the third installment of the "Avatar" franchise – "Avatar: Fire and Ashes." The trailer will be shown exclusively in cinemas.

The official social media account for the series announced the release of the first trailer for "Avatar: Fire and Ashes." The trailer will not be released online , as was the case recently with Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey," and will only be available for viewing before screenings of "Fantastic 4: First Steps." These screenings begin on Friday, July 25th. James Cameron's film is five months away from its premiere, hitting theaters on December 19th.

This won't be the first opportunity to see the trailer for the third installment of "Avatar." Guests at the closed event for theater owners, CinemaCon in Las Vegas , already saw it in April. Information leaked to the public indicates that Cameron will introduce viewers to two new tribes inhabiting Pandora this time around. The first are the conquerors of the skies above the film's planet, the second are the Fire People. According to the director, in the third installment, viewers will discover that Pandora is also inhabited by less friendly people than the Na'vi.

The third installment in the blockbuster franchise will pick up immediately after the events of "Avatar: The Waterborn," in which Jake (Sam Worthington), Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), and their children joined the water people of Pandora. It seems that in the sequel, the entire family will continue their journey in search of a peaceful life, this time facing not a sinister Earth corporation but the hostile local Ash People.

Along with the announcement of the first trailer, a poster focusing on one of the film's characters was also unveiled. It features a character named Varang , played by Oona Chaplin . She is expected to be the film's main villain.

"Varang is a leader of a people who have endured incredible hardships. She has grown stronger through them, and now she will do anything for her people. Even if it means being evil," Cameron said of the character.
